Set across three time periods — ancient, colonial, and modern — the film follows three women in the same bloodline who each face the same struggle in radically different contexts: the fight to lead, to be believed, and to preserve knowledge that powerful men want buried.

Matriarchy is a historical epic about feminine power, sacred knowledge, and the unbroken thread of women who held the world together when it tried to forget them.
