THE STORY

Cannabis was legalized in state after state — and the communities most devastated by the War on Drugs were largely shut out of the industry that replaced it. Licensing fees. Capital requirements. Criminal record exclusions. The people who bore the heaviest cost of prohibition were systematically prevented from participating in the legal market built on their suffering.

KANEH Saga: Social Equity follows the advocates, entrepreneurs, and formerly incarcerated individuals fighting to make legalization mean something — examining the gap between the promises of social equity programs and the reality of who actually benefits from cannabis commerce.

Part 4 of the KANEH Saga — an unflinching look at justice delayed.
